from 3245 reviewsGreat communication from this store, they answered all my questions! Great products!
I have a love/hate relationship with Instagram — it knows me so well that its recommendations are ON POINT, but also, I get upset when I realize how well they know me. Never mind. Because I was doomscrolling when it showed me a Reel of the Crescent Bag being filled, I was intrigued.
It’s been, what, less than a week? I am now the proud owner of a Mint Crescent Bag of my very own, and you can pry it out of my cold, dead hands. Why? I’m glad you asked!
If you’re familiar with Baggu’s Crescent Bags, you’ll be familiar with the shape, the style. However, I will argue that Canvelle’s version blows Baggu’s out of the water (I know, I know…I have the Baggu Crescents in small and medium, but…I have issues with both).
Things I love:
- A light colored lining. If you have a light-colored Baggu, this is irrelevant, but both of mine are dark, so they’re both dark holes. Yes, even the small Crescent. This is very annoying to me, especially as a mom of littles. I once thought of myself as a patient person, but something about mom-ing three kids has made my need to find what I need to find at that moment an absolute must, and if I have to dig through my big, I might lose my s*** (alongside the little who is, likely, also losing their s***).
- Pockets and divided compartments, oh my! Depending on the day, I have my phone or my sunglasses in the back padded pocket. Things I need, but use less often, are in the front zipped pocket. Things I use often go in the main big pocket. The key leash makes it easy to find keys, and because it’s a clasp and not a clip (are these the right words? I don’t even know) I can easily remove my keys so the check-out lady can scan my rewards card quickly without fighting a carabiner worthy of a rock climber.
- Machine washable. I got mine in a light color (mint!), and I was freaking out a bit about what I’ve done, but then I rememebered it’s machine-washable. Hallelujah.
- The strap! I love that there’s no free-flowing tail that you have to knot up (I don’t care, I hate this about the Baggu bags). I make it longer for comfort, shorter so it hangs above my lap when there’s no bag hook in the bathroom (why).
- This final thing is a very specific to me thing, but I love that there’s enough structure that my hardcover books are somewhat protected. In a big, loose bag (like a tote bag…I love my totes, but.) books can someone get damaged due to the way they sit. I hate nothing more than a hardcover spine that’s permanently crooked.
Is there anything I don’t like/like less? The hardware could be smoother. The buckle (I don’t think this is what it’s called, but we’re going to roll with it) had some burrs that I felt should’ve been sandpapered or something off. I’ll do this myself, but it was a surprise to catch on this when I was out and about. Also, keep your small Baggu Crescents. Love my Canvelle for 98% of the time, but it’s too big for stadiums and the like.
I’ve thought about getting a Canvelle bag for about a year. After going through a few, cheap “disappointments,” I finally purchased one. I should have just gotten one a year ago. This bag is the perfect size; it comfortably holds my phone, wallet, keys, a small pouch of necessities and just-in-cases, with room to spare. Adding in snacks or sunscreen is easy, and I still have extra space. The strap is plenty long enough, and the bag rests comfortably on my body. My only silly wish is that the back pocket was lined with different material. The material catches on the silicone case of my phone and I have to fight with it to get my phone into that pocket. I’m sure a different case would solve my issue here, so I’ll be looking into that. The fabric of the bag is durable, without appearing cheap. Zippers are solid and I have yet to have a zipper catch on the lining. I look forward to getting other colors in the future!
Great for mommas. A pocket for kid items and a pocket for mom. I’m the mother of a diabetic and I love being able to tuck all of his supplies in the main compartment and have the smaller pocket for myself. Love this bag
Great bag with excellent storage. Really like the interior pockets which are see through. Also, love the wide strap. Very comfortable to carry crossbody. Overall, wonderful purse!
So easy to wear! The pockets hold everything I need to stay organized! 10/10 I need it in black next
This bag is huge! You can fit SO much in it. I love the pockets inside to help me organize. I also use waterproof bags inside to help organize. It makes finding things easy and it keeps sand off things I really don’t want sand on! I have 2 toddlers and a baby so lots of little hands and sand thrown everywhere lol. I highly recommend this bag! You won’t regret it!
I am delighted with the pouch! I could not decide between the wallet or pouch. I bought the wallet and love it, but realized that I’d still would like the pouch. I now have both and it is perfect for me😊.
Perfect! It’s what I’ve been looking for. My only suggestion would be to have a larger zipper pull or an attached pull tab.
I really like the pop of color and interest this strap adds to my black bag.
I have been eyeing the Canvelle bags for a few years (thanks to ads popping up in my Instagram feed). I finally ordered the large City Crossbody Bag in Olive, replacing a crossbody bag I had for a while. I really enjoy that the bag is fairly light weight while having lots of pockets and compartments to keep the items in my purse from becoming jumbled at the bottom of my bag. The large version of this bag has enough room for all of my day-to-day items plus space to stick in my sunglasses. I even ordered a patterned crossbody strap. I'm looking forward to taking this on vacation to Kauai with me this summer.
I have become a crossbody purse girl over the last few years so finding one that still fits everything but is neutral enough for any outfit is key for me. I fell in love with the grey color of this bag and the many pockets it has to store all of my essentials. Highly recommend for moms on the go or just crossbody purse lovers like me.
I was looking for a new carry-on that would meet the airlines regulations, and this new Canvelle bag fit the bill! Light weight and spacios! Worked great.
Love this bag! I got the black with black hardware and it wears beautifully, whether it's short or long. Fits well for us bigger chested ladies.
