Crescent Crossbody Bag

This has officially replaced my diaper bag and I’m so happy!! I have the larger version of this bag and it honestly fits everything I need without comprising style.

I'm so happy with my Medium Crescent in Leopard! The print is gorgeous!! The size is perfect for my daily life. Enough room for my essentials: wallet, sunglasses, Rx, small cosmetic pouch, phone and a couple diapers for my toddler. Cross body strap is a must-have with three little kiddos. I opted to buy a short shoulder strap to swap out for a handbag style. For the price, I wish the short shoulder strap came with the Crescent (the Hobo comes with both straps). My 3 favorite features are: the phone slip pocket (easy access to my phone) double zipper pulls (I can position the zipper closed in the middle of the zipper,vs at one end) and the elastic key leash (this is the first time I've seen an elastic key leash! So clever! The leash stretches out to the door knob! No awkward positions to unlock the door while my keys stay attached to the leash). I've worked in the handbag and luggage industry for 15+ years and I'm pretty picky with my handbag purchases. This one checks all my boxes. 👌

I recently ordered the Large Crescent Bag, my second purchase from Canvelle. Again, I am just so impressed by the fabric, stitching, hardware, and quality of the bag.
Everything is sewn / bonded / connected really well. It has certainly been worth the wait and currency conversion + shipping costs to get this shipped to Australia.

Things I love….
* The material is so light and easily sits on my shoulder or cross body.
* The strap is super comfortable which I have also found with my first purchase of the cross body bag.
* The bag could easily fit a tablet and frank green 500 ml water bottle, change of clothes, kindle etc.
* The secret phone pouch easily fits my iPhone 17 Pro with its protective cover on.
* The front pocket is large and can fit the canvelle wallet and kindle easily. Or…
* The front pocket can also fit the medium flat pouch easily.

Some observations, like some others have commented it would be great if the key leash was longer and above one of the open pockets, like it is on the cross body bag. In the cross body bag use a pocket to tuck in my substantial key chain/keys, so its not swinging around in my bag. With the large Crescent bag, what I have done is tuck the keys into the zip pocket. But if I want to use the zip pocket for another purpose I will probably have to place the keys in the front pocket/pockets of the bag.

Smell. Yes, unfortunately my bag also arrived with a smell and the wallet also had this smell. It seemed to be coming from the lining of the bag. The wallet aired out in less than 30 minutes but the crescent bag did not dissipate as quickly, I was impatient so Iput it through a wash which I was nervous of. The bag dried quickly and the zippers/hardware etc came through perfectly, the smell was gone. I think the use of odour/moisture absorbers would help with this. My cross body bag in leopard print didn’t come with any smell. The smell is like the one you get when you’ve had your clothes dry cleaned and left them in the plastic too long. So its not terrible and does dissipate. For me, this isn’t a problem and I expect little things like that when my parcel has been in transit for 2 weeks but I think checking the storage and plastic wrapping used might be a good idea to prevent an issue in future.

Overall, I love this bag. The reasons being: it is so light, any weight that it has comes from my own choices, the strap is so comfortable, the bag is roomy, the front pocket has the perfect level of organisation and space for storing tissues, glasses cleaners, small flat pouch, anti bacterial wash, wet wipes etc. The main compartment easily fits my 500ml bottle, gym towels with heaps of space left over. The quilted black is flexible to go with any use/outfit etc. The fact that I can just throw it in the washing machine is fantastic.

I love this bag. The shape is great, and it has so many compartments that are well thought out. It’s perfect for everyday use but would also be amazing for travel… it’s the perfect size! I wish I’d had it on my recent trip to Europe. The quality is excellent and I can see this bag lasting a long time!

Absolutely love my new crescent crossbody bag in the cognac/brown color. Super durable, and comfortable even packed with so much stuff including my Kindle! Would love it even more with an interior zipped pocket but that’s just me being picky! Will definitely be getting it in black!

They sent a different strap. The hardware on the purse was gold. The hardware on the strap was black. Not sure why it was checked in quality control.

If you’re considering spending a little more to order from Canvelle because you expect the customer service to match the product, especially if you need your order by a certain date, my first experience with Canvelle may be worth reading about.

I placed my first order and paid $15.99 for UPS 2nd Day Air because I was leaving very early the following Sunday and specifically wanted the bags for the trip. Their website said orders ship the next business day unless otherwise stated, so I thought I had allowed plenty of time.

The next business day came and went. No shipping notification.

This is around when I had expected my 2nd Day Air order to arrive if it had shipped the next business day as stated. Instead, three days after ordering, it still hadn’t shipped. I contacted customer service and explained that I needed the order by Saturday. UPS tracking later showed that the shipping label wasn’t even created until more than an hour after I contacted Canvelle. They knew the order was already late and why I needed it while it was still sitting there unfulfilled, but sent it 2nd Day Air anyway, dropping it off at a UPS Store after the posted pickup time. At that point, I really would have expected them to overnight it and make sure it arrived in time.

Customer service refunded the $15.99 shipping charge, which I appreciated, but the point of paying for expedited shipping was to have the bags before I left, not to get the shipping fee back when they didn’t arrive. I later contacted Canvelle about how the situation had been handled, and their AI assistant said someone from the team would follow up with me personally. No one ever did.

I left very early for my trip without the bags I had specifically ordered for it.

I can’t speak to the quality of the bags because I never used them, and maybe I would have loved them. But after this experience, I don’t really want to. I’m returning the bag and accessories and will spend my money with a company that puts more effort into making things right when something goes wrong.

I love the size and shape of this bag if it’s with every outfit nicely! And I love I can guarantee you it will always be clean because I can throw it in the wash if it ever gets dirty!

I like it a lot and It works well. It fits all of the items that I need to put in it. The brown color has a little too much orange in it for my taste. I use cream or vaseline on my hands and I think that the fabric bag may absorb it and the bag will need to be cleaned more often that another type of material. I will probably buy another in black plaid.

I like it because it holds more items and sits nicely across the body. Bag is even nicer looking than the picture. Very pleased with the purchase.

Okay so this brown leopard print has me in a chokehold. I have the large crescent bag and NEEDED the medium. I love all the pockets and the fact that it’s a perfect everyday bag when you don’t have a million things to carry. Love it!!!!

What is it about these relatively simply designed bags that make them so special? I would have to say the lines, the functionality, the quality and the durability are obvious but the other things that appeal to me is high quality gold colored hardware, the light colored interior, the way the straps are so substantial but adjust smoothly, the versatility, the comfort and the washability. I’m a new fan for sure!

This bag is lovely. Perfect for travel . I was a bit hesitant about the checkerboard pattern, but it is subtle and sophisticated. No regrets.

The shape is perfect and fits perfectly against my hip. The quality of everything is top notch. Disappointed in myself for not buying this sooner!!

I hesitated for a long time before ordering this bag because I wasn't sure it would work for me but I am so pleased! It's lightweight but the fabric is substantial so your bag doesn't fall into a puddle when you put it down. The zippers are very sturdy and open and close very easily. I love the front pocket! It's a great place to stash things you need to get to quickly. My only complaint is it's maybe just slightly too small - I would love to see this in a size between the medium and the large. The medium is just ever so slightly too small for me but the large looks huge for everyday use (Although I would definitely considered ordering the large next time I take an overseas trip.). Otherwise, I am very pleased and glad I finally decided to order. Would love to see this bag offered in a navy color as well.

There are many parts of this bag I really enjoy. The internal pockets are a dream. I love the light material inside as well. Overall the bag is not worth the price. I might buy another on sale but I would never pay full price again.

The company is very responsive and customer service focused. They took care of everything very promptly. I would give them five stars if the bag quality matched the price of the bag. This is very unbalanced.

Reason bought this purse was the pocket feature to hold cell phone. Best purse I have purchased in a very long . Plenty of inside room too. Highly recommend.

This purse met all my expectations. I kept buying cheaper purses and they were never exactly what I wanted. This one is a keeper!
