Crescent Bag

I recently ordered the Large Crescent Bag, my second purchase from Canvelle. Again, I am just so impressed by the fabric, stitching, hardware, and quality of the bag.
Everything is sewn / bonded / connected really well. It has certainly been worth the wait and currency conversion + shipping costs to get this shipped to Australia.

Things I love….
* The material is so light and easily sits on my shoulder or cross body.
* The strap is super comfortable which I have also found with my first purchase of the cross body bag.
* The bag could easily fit a tablet and frank green 500 ml water bottle, change of clothes, kindle etc.
* The secret phone pouch easily fits my iPhone 17 Pro with its protective cover on.
* The front pocket is large and can fit the canvelle wallet and kindle easily. Or…
* The front pocket can also fit the medium flat pouch easily.

Some observations, like some others have commented it would be great if the key leash was longer and above one of the open pockets, like it is on the cross body bag. In the cross body bag use a pocket to tuck in my substantial key chain/keys, so its not swinging around in my bag. With the large Crescent bag, what I have done is tuck the keys into the zip pocket. But if I want to use the zip pocket for another purpose I will probably have to place the keys in the front pocket/pockets of the bag.

Smell. Yes, unfortunately my bag also arrived with a smell and the wallet also had this smell. It seemed to be coming from the lining of the bag. The wallet aired out in less than 30 minutes but the crescent bag did not dissipate as quickly, I was impatient so Iput it through a wash which I was nervous of. The bag dried quickly and the zippers/hardware etc came through perfectly, the smell was gone. I think the use of odour/moisture absorbers would help with this. My cross body bag in leopard print didn’t come with any smell. The smell is like the one you get when you’ve had your clothes dry cleaned and left them in the plastic too long. So its not terrible and does dissipate. For me, this isn’t a problem and I expect little things like that when my parcel has been in transit for 2 weeks but I think checking the storage and plastic wrapping used might be a good idea to prevent an issue in future.

Overall, I love this bag. The reasons being: it is so light, any weight that it has comes from my own choices, the strap is so comfortable, the bag is roomy, the front pocket has the perfect level of organisation and space for storing tissues, glasses cleaners, small flat pouch, anti bacterial wash, wet wipes etc. The main compartment easily fits my 500ml bottle, gym towels with heaps of space left over. The quilted black is flexible to go with any use/outfit etc. The fact that I can just throw it in the washing machine is fantastic.

Love the pockets and phone holder

this bag is everything. Its the perfect size and the leopard is such a fun neutral pop! as always, love it!

I have a medium Baggu Cresent Bag, but I am fed up with the fact that it only has two inner pockets, and things in the bag move around inside. So I purchased medium Canvelle Cresent bag, and here is my honest review (4 stars). I will start from the cons first.

*Cons*
1) Baggu bag is made out of nylon, and it doesn't have outer pocket which allows the bag to expand. You can put anything as much as you want. Canvelle bag, on the other hand, is made out of something harder and studier, so it doesn't expand (or provide more room to expend). In the center/main section I can put my bifold wallet (3.5 x 6.75), a zipper pouch with two small items inside (3.9 x 4.7), a bigger zipper pouch with a few items inside (5.5 x 5 x 1.75), and a schedule planner (8.5 x 6). I also put 1 Bath and Bodyworks PocketBac Hand Sanitizer in the mesh pocket on the inside. This occupies 90% of the main area, so when you try to put something in the front pocket, you can see that bag itself is already full/inflated, and there is not much space/room left in the front pocket. I put two pens and my car keys and that's it. And I have iPhone 15 (not Pro, the basic one), and it does fit in the phone pocket. If I put something more (something other than a small item), it will be bulky and tight. I think medium is for a minimalist who puts a few and thin items, so if you want to put more stuff, size up.
2) When I first opened the bag, I could smell something strange, and it was coming from the lining used for the interior. I left the bag open and pockets, and let them breathe for an hour, and the smell disappeared.
3) I wish the key clip were a bit longer.
4) This is not a big deal, but I wish packaging were better. There were a brochure and a receipt, and a bag in a clear plastic bag. Inside the bag I found a strap, but it wasn't even wrapped in a piece of wrapping paper or anything to tie/bundle the strap, which made me wonder if I received someone's returned item. I did find a small stain on the inside the bag, but it was really small, and I didn't want to wait for an exchange process, so I am keeping it. For a bag that's over $100, I was expecting a better packaging that showed your extra care.

*Pros*
1) I can tell that the material used for the outside is high quality and sturdy. Zippers run smoothly and clips of the strap are not too hard. Meshes inside do look sturdy too.
2) Pockets do help! Coming from the Baggu bag that only has 2 inner pockets, being able to put my car keys or the phone in the outer pockets is a lot more convenient than you can imagine.
4) Things don't move around inside your bag.
5) The strap is the perfect width, so it doesn't hurt your shoulder or makes you think that your bag is too heavy.

Absolutely LOVE this bag! This is my 4th bag purchase and easily my favorite. Sizing is totally perfect, roomy but not too big. Even after I add my things, there's still room to spare! 10/10!
